Went out there on Monday, Coast Guard stopped by next to a couple of blokes but not sure what was said. They pretended to pack up til the CG left then came back. Spent 3 hours, no bites. 1 guy a few rocks over managed 2 nice flattys while we were there. Tried chicken, squid, pillys, prawns and got donuts.

I woke up before everyone in the house so thought a quick fish done werribee south was in order. Much to my disgust I had to use servo pillies. First cast at about 7:30 and landed a small gummy. Released to fight another day.

I worked next to the marina on monday 9th march and there were still bulldozers in the water dredging, all fenced off from the public, this was on the north side of the marina. Looks like some good ground on the north side with weed patches fairly close by. Pity i was 10 meters from the water and my kayak and fishing gear was 30km away.. Torcher of the worst kind..

The Fisheries people that checked me out at Campbells Cove Rocks said people catch them from the beach at Werribee, I can only assume the marina breakwall would give access to deeper water and a better shot at catching them.

Maybe. It would be worth lobbying someone (Shooters and Fishers, ALP, Fisheries etc) to get some artificial reefs put in or to get some kind of agreement to allow fishos access to the break wall signed now rather than later on when the marina owner is deadset against it because of all the rubbish left behind.
