Thanks everyone for the replies, I'm not quite sure what you mean by a thread about bagging out at the warmies @texas.
I will definitely try using the circle hooks after I do some research into them, such as how to rig them properly for the targeted fish.
I might also try plastics one time but I am definitely not sure what rig to use because of how snaggy it is in there.

From what you have said the asian guy fished for half an hour got some little fish and went away. I would assume he just took some mullet for snapper bait lol.
