Bagging out on squid with funny video report Point cook area

Video link - https://youtu.be/Lt5yVedNR8Y

Sharing my latest fishing report/video. This one is a hilarious episode. A few of us headed up towards Campbells cove on the runabout boat targeting squid. What starts of as some light hearted humour turns into a funny sledging competition to see who can catch the most squid.
We have all been there before one person is catching everything whilst the others are getting doughnuts. Thankfully on this occasion it was my turn to catch a few and as a good mate, I went out of my way to turn the sledging up to high.

It’s a great video, lots of squid being caught and lots of laughs between good mates. And yes only 14 squid kept between 3 people on board which is well within legal catch limits, with plenty of squid returned to the water.

I watched this one the other night, looks like you guys had a great day.

I'll be launching out of Newport again on Monday and heading around to Altona Bay. Hopefully i can repeat the trip we had a few weeks ago with 27 squid. I am also planning having another go with the soft plastics for pinkies. Last time we didnt really have too much luck off Ricketts with only very small fish and a seal, although the flatties loved them in the deeper water. But this time i am going to try the pylons at Princes Pier.\

The main choice is do we hit the squid off Altona first, or go straight for the pinkies?? It will largely depend on the weather i think.

Thats what i am thinking.

Plus its 2mins to power across to Port Melbourne from the warmies. Versus 15 or 20 mins across to Point Cook/Altona.

yeah also when squiding you can fish for whiting so if you do snapper first then you can go after whiting whilst squiding and you dont have a certain amount of time
