Spearfishing 1/12/2016
With light winds forecast for last night my friend and I decided to give the spearfishing another go.
Turns out we had made a good decision.
We arrived at around 9:30 and started looking around at 9:45. The water was nice and clear with a slight chop.
It didn't take us long at all to have a decent size flathead in the bag.
After that it was flounder after flounder.
We ended up with 12 good size flounders, a large flathead and managed to spear another good size squid as well.
We only missed one massive flathead.
Was a fun night.
Cheers,
LX.

Awesome catch LX! I was keen to head out but thought it was too windy! You have proven me wrong!!! How do you cook your flounder?
Im a relative noob at this but I can attribute my success so far to all the great info that's on this site in relation to spotlighting. Some of of the threads are a few years old but there are 'gems' of knowledge within them.

Re: Spearfishing 1/12/2016
What spear do you use? Apparently we're only supposed to use spears with 2 prongs and no barbs but everything I've seen for sale on the major online tackle stores has a cluster of prongs with barbs.
