Fish Around Willy

Post by TheGreatestGoat » Tue Oct 17, 2017 11:06 am

Hey all,

So finally got my boat sorted (will post some pics when I get a chance, heaps of upgrades) and was super keen to get out. Didn't get home from work until late and wasn't really prepared for a fish so decided to head out on a recco sounding mission and see what was about, with a mind to head out tonight.

Launched at willy around 7.30 and started sounding in 6-9 metres off willy along the reef edge. Nothing for around an hour, but as it got later started marking some good fish. Also saw some rods buckled over in other boats, so definitely some fish around the area. Gonna head out tonight and have a launch at em'. Anyone else heading out tonight?

Cheers,
Goat

Yep, with the low tide, a bit of a dip in the barometer and not much success on the weekend I wasn't expecting much but after reading this, I'm fired up.

Ill more then likely be at Willy tonight, after work.. Looking to fish 7-8 Metres, behind the wall, close to the channel, sunset and change of tide should be okay.. Barometer is 1022 so not bad.. They've also been getting them landbased at Webbdock late into the night (probably moving into shallows to feed) so hoping we see a few fish..

Sounds like willy is going to need vertical parking for boats soon.

Boat ramp was actually quiet last night.

Probably the 20 dollar launching fee keeping people away. What a joke. You can stick that up your jumper.

Could understand if they were maintaining a class facility. But all the bollards are broken, etc its a joke if you ask me
