Post by tedd » Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:14 am

Hi Guys,

Im new to the area and looking to take my tinny onto the Werribee this weekend to chase some bream mainly but open to what you guys think would be worth chasing. What would the best options be? Looking at using yabbies, crabs and scrub worms.

How bigs the tinny ??
It'll cost you $17 to launch at Werribee South. There are ramps at Kirk's Point & Campbell's Cove (small boats).
If the tide is right, you can get to the cliffs at the golf club (deep hole there).
Otherwise stay closer to the entrance, bream like structures, there's a shark cat moored in the river, hasn't moved for years.
cheers Gra

squid, flattys, pinks up the cook. you could just about watch the boats where they are to get an idea where to fish for flattys an squid, see alot of boats line up a couple hundred mtrs off from the leg of the raaf lake if you hit googlemaps you will see what im talking about.on the edge of where you cant fish

but yeah there is a hole up near the golf course that is mentioned in one of rex hunts books called the barnical hole, k road crabs would prolly be the go as its a food source for them
