Werribee today

Post by ChristianGoneFishing » Sat Jul 28, 2018 9:46 am

Hi all.

Heading out ws today. Hopefully some squid and flatties though I am yet to catch kgw since I got my boat a few months ago. Has there been any kgw in the area recently? Spit wedge? Raaf pier? Are they usually in 4-5mtrs or should I be looking even shallower?

Hopefully have some pic to post later today.

I got donuts lol. My father had all the luck today with 5 good sise flatties which will make great battered tails for dinner tomorrow.

Was just one of those days. His rig was the most ridiculous thing you'll ever see with a hook and soft plastic tied to a submarine sinker. Then after catching a few his line got tangled but instead of fixing it he just baited up and threw it back in. Proceeded to catch 3 more with tangled line. I should have taken a pic.

Didn't look like anyone had luck with squid today usual boats kicking around wedge spit moving everywhere. Didn't see any brought in or any on the cleaning table. Maybe guys out in the morning had more luck.

Anyway was just great to get out there and not freeze to death. Hopefully a sign that the worst of winter is over.
