Maybe next time take a heavier setup for this mystery fish mate?
Yes, I was really targeting Bream but I have encountered two massive fish now and haven't seen a glimpse of either.
I am now starting to think it's some sort of Ray as the weight is tremendous and it just stripped line from my reel so easily , even after I adjusted the tension.
Both fish on full moon and both right before the Warmies boat ramp on the opposite side.
While you had the fish on for awhile, did you feel any headshakes or was it just peeling line off in a straight line?

When it took I could feel big body shakes but then it just headed straight for the middle and kept taking line, I just couldn't turn it or stop it. My rod was absolutely doubled.
I might get a larger reel and rod set up and try for whatever it is, it has taken a Month between the two hookups though.

I always wishful think my "fish that got away". With what has been said, there is a decent hopeful chance it could be either a Snapper or a Mulloway (trying to steer away from the Ray hypothesis).

Any head shakes would help steer it towards it being a Snapper but I haven't heard of any doing a solid 2 min initial run. That point may steer it towards being a Mulloway. But if I had 2 less Daniels tonight, that would have steered me towards saying it might be a Ray

Very funny mate, I am going to try to get the bugger and get my plastics back, tall order though, there's a lot of water to cover.

Every now and then I go there and flick plastics, usually near the boat ramp. I might see you around.
What jig head do you use there btw?
Usually I use 1/16 weight and 1/0. Catch pinkies usually.

Z lock 1/16 or 1/12 and 1/0, I have only caught pinkies on the channel side, all Bream on the Warmies side but they seem to be gone just now.
