sanctuary lakes bream

Post by Matthew drako » Fri May 17, 2019 5:44 pm

Hey all,
after seeing a recent report from sanctuary lakes, I decided to hit a lb spot that had produced for me in previous years,
armed with chicken for bait I got there and it looked promising with clean water and no wind. Within seconds of casting the fish were on the bite. Constant bites the whole session and managed to land around 10. Nothing huge but not a doughnut. Used a paternoster rig.
Cheers, Matt

Try a running sinker (or weightless) with crab for bait for for larger bream.

May I ask that where can I collect live crabs?

I would try a running sinker but sanctuary lakes has a notoriously weedy bottom stretching throughout the whole lake. Makes it really hard with something weightless or a running sinker. I’ve tried live bass yabbies on a running to no avail

On calm days try bait under float. Its fun to see the float gets dragged.
