Williamstown land based report

Post by Leonard » Tue Sep 17, 2013 1:22 pm

Arrived at the break wall at about 8:30 am on the 15th. I tried to take advantage of the north wind and berley up for gars - no luck there. I also ballooned out some white bait in the hope of a pinkie or something else from the reef - again no luck. At about 12 I gave up and walked to the piers on the strand. There was some diesel oil in the water. I managed 3 good sized mullet on the whitebait at Germ pier. After that they went quiet so I moved to Ferguson street pier. There was nothing to be caught there except a plethora of green weed. That concluded the day.

Hit the warmies Sunday night 6pm, only had 1 hour to fish. Tucked in on the outlet side of the boat ramp, 2 bait lines and flicked some soft plastics around. Threw in a handful of chopped pilchard and something was splashing around hard taking all that but wouldn't touch the bits on my hooks.
