I went to Brighton pier but didn't get any salmons.

I don't really fish for them there so I wouldn't know. Why don't you head down to port Melb area next time?

I have caught plenty with both :) if you are going to use bait, I have caught most of mine with chicken or white bait. I usually burley up a lot as well.

I get my whitebait at a servo on Bay Street in port Melbourne.
The burley is mainly made from just bread, water, some tuna oil and I usually put in some cat food. Just the home brand stuff you get from Coles. The seafood cocktail or the tuna one doesn't matter they both work :)

Yes sometimes they are just there in which case you don't need any but other times it works to attract the fish.
I have been many times in the past where when I got there after casting both my rods out haven't had any bites but started catching after the burley starts to work :)

i got my whitebait $11 for 1 kg. Its not the same as the servo one nice and glittery,but i will try it anyway.
