I have caught plenty with both if you are going to use bait, I have caught most of mine with chicken or white bait. I usually burley up a lot as well.

Where did you get white bait and what is the burley?

I get my whitebait at a servo on Bay Street in port Melbourne.
The burley is mainly made from just bread, water, some tuna oil and I usually put in some cat food. Just the home brand stuff you get from Coles. The seafood cocktail or the tuna one doesn't matter they both work

Yes sometimes they are just there in which case you don't need any but other times it works to attract the fish.
I have been many times in the past where when I got there after casting both my rods out haven't had any bites but started catching after the burley starts to work

i got my whitebait $11 for 1 kg. Its not the same as the servo one nice and glittery,but i will try it anyway.
