What do you mean you never try this as in you never tried fishing for them before?

It's a lot of fun. Are they hard to catch? Well for someone who has never caught one before it might be. Have to keep your eye on the float  :thumbsup:Crusher777 wrote:Yes never caught but want to try it :a_goodjob:
Is it hard to get them?

Re: 24/7/2016 Gars.
There are many different kinds of floats but the ones I use are the pencil ones mate. I find they work really well. When gar fishing the float doesn't always go straight down. Sometimes it's just a slight movement to the left or right. You have to learn how to read your float for best results :thumbsup:Crusher777 wrote:I have never used a float before. What is a good one for this?

Re: 24/7/2016 Gars.
When the water is really calm it's easy to see the bites but in choppy conditions like the day I caught these it's not as easy to tell when the gars are biting. But by reading I mean understanding the way your float reacts to a gar bite. On Sunday when I was fishing the water was quite choppy it was blowing a very strong northerly but I could still tell when I had a gar bite. The float would tilt to the left and stay there for a bit giving me enough time to strike and get the gar on :thumbsup:Crusher777 wrote:What do you mean read the float?
