Saw a guy bag out on some nice fat 35-40cm pinkies today around midday. Using SPs. Bagged out in under an hour. Wish I had my rods...

15 years ago we use to get 15lb snapper of the end and hook stingrays that use to just run away that we could never stop on 15kg surf rods

Seen and caught some really big snappers from the rock walls just near station as well.

Even when those pan size 27-30 were on everyday for about 2 months non stop.It's like you go to go home within the hour . I have also seen good Quality Bream caught around April.

It's a struggle even with a gaff when the big ones are on,with such a drop.[one of my retiree projects this year is making a long 4.5 meter net and not to feel uncomfortable. Especially for STATION PIER.
