Long silver toothy critters - drifting plastics report (Port Melbourne area)

Post by LINwAd » Fri Oct 26, 2018 8:38 am

Hey guys, I have been a bit slow on the forum including my reports, had alot on recently. Went out on Sunday in the hope of bagging out on flatties haha, but only managed one.

Drifted in and around the area between Webb dock and Princess pier as my first proper trip in the bay on the kayak and had a ball on some big toothy pike/snook.

Was a kick ass trip and had a ball.

The little 1-3kg rod got a workout this time :water: .

Anyway as always here is the video for those interested.

That’s a great vid mate.
I have also encountered a lot of pike in the past around the princess pier area.
Glad you ended up getting a nice flattie in the end for a feed.
When did you get the yak?

Yeah seem to be a few around. I got the kayak around a month ago I think.
