had a little fish up near the boat ramps today, nothing of any size biting but did get an absolutely tiny bream that was of course released, and noticed schools of hundreds of small bream and mullet hanging around and attacking the berley i was laying out, so the future population of bream looks very healthy there.
then spent a couple of hours up at the mouth of the river for nothing, Was extremely calm there, couple of others there got a couple of keeper bream by the looks of it, other than that just undersized being returned.

friend caught one of those a while back @ patterson river too, some kind of gurnard or soldier/scorpion fish... they all look very similar

we didnt touch it at all , those spikes looked dangerous (and according to info on those you dont want to touch them) just carefully released it back via pliers onto the hook and turning it up lol.

fishing the mouth or up the river?

always get alot of activity with size 2-4 long shank hooks and peeled prawns with the bream up the river but tried bigger hooks and calamari at the mouth the other day for nothing, not even a touch.

Couple of people catching bream but undersized. Was fishing between the first and second ramp. Third ramp was full when I arrived.
