Took my first ever set of soft plastics down here tonight for a couple of hours. You can see the baitfish swimming around under the lights on the rail bridge. Flicked around for an hour either side of dark.

No fish.

Bad luck mate, patto always a place of frustration for me too.... last time I got a size fish there would have been 4-5yrs ago and it would have been salmon, not bream...... They are there though, just the smart types.......

I went down last week and fished from 6pm - 8 30pm and got a fair few bites and ended up pulling in a 32cm bream and a 24cm bream just have to be patient and luck I think has to be on your side

Hey booga was that land based and Soft Plastics?
I saw a post not long ago a few guys on Yaks smashing the bream with soft plastics.

Bait fishing is the go here, not a lot of action on the soft plastics. Chicken fillet and prawn seem to be the go. If there are no bites closer to the sea it is worth heading up near the gates and the other boat launching spots.

i was there on the 2/02, started fishing about 5:30am. Through some bloodworm wrigglers manages to catch 1 bream around 6:30ish. Nothing after that. will try again next weekend!
I don't exaggerate... I just remember BIG.
