Frankston Pier report - Monday 1st April

Post by Jeffs_gone_fishing » Tue Apr 02, 2013 4:38 pm

Fished Frankston pier yesterday, got there about 1pm wind was blowing into the pier.
We caught 3 bay trout all under a float using squid strips for bait.
Was also using a lure earlier on and had a hookup, was on for a few seconds but must not have hooked it properly.
An older guy fishing there landed a nice salmon on lure, it looked about 1 kilo.

Apart from the wind, sounds like it was a good day; beats sitting infront of the pc all day looking out the window wishing i was out fishing!

What lure where you using? Maybe you were just casting like a C! :lolf: :lolf: (sorry guys, inside joke!)

Hahaha, I wasn't casting like a C!
I forgot to mention, one of my rods decided to go for a swim when a fish took it Bangg my son was meant to be looking after it, but luckily I managed to dredge it up with a lure :woohoo:
Had to pull the reel apart to clean it, it's now good as new again.
