No not carpet just one of the rocks, the last fortnight I probably am one of those guys mate back to work next week though:-/
They really fired up today, even 2 or 3 boats stopped and started casting across everyone !!
If you get there on dawn you can get them upto the 1kg mark but generally they are all around the 25-30cm.

Same thing around the bay a bit further at Sandringham. Im hoping they are still there this Saturday when i get a chance to hit the water again.Smolzer wrote: Another morning down Patto rocks, becoming a popular lil spot again with the bay trout still hanging around, lures seem to be the best go.
Just wondering what size lures you are using for those smaller salmon?
I was using a light soft plastic last week with no luck (we caught ours on bait), but this week im going with a 40g metal lure i think.
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

Yeah small twisty seemed the best for me, tried soft plastics and got two but I still got no idea how to use them !! In saying that one guy on Monday arvo hooked up almost every cast with the plastics !
