Fish everywhere

Post by Freakazoid » Thu May 23, 2013 6:29 pm

Salmon everywhere... Except on my line, had a shocker.

Got to the Patto river mouth at about 1 and there was a lot of people fishing the rocks. I was bait soaking with no luck and had snag after snag while literally everyone around was pulling in salmon(bay trout) between 20-35cm every few minutes one after the other right up until sunset. Soft lures, hard lures of every colour...they kept coming in. :2guns: I switched to lures after a while and managed to lose 2 into the drink as the tide dropped to yet another set of snags! Not my day, but fantastic fishing for everyone else around me. :surrender: grab a lure n head down there!

That must be very frustrating for you , to see everyone else catching Bay Trout & your getting snags "better luck next time" ;)

Yeah a few weeks back they were smashing the baits. Now they won't touch unless you have a lure of some kind, great fun.
