Need some advice..

Post by jonw810i » Wed Jun 19, 2013 8:47 pm

Hi everyone, i'm just into fishing. i am planning to fish at frankston pier in the morning before the sunrise. Is it a good idea? or is there anyplace nearby which is worth going? i would prefer land based fishing. doesnt mind any fish. ;) Thank you very much in advance. have a nice day everyone~

go to Sorrento for some lure fishing and you may end up having fun with the salmon.

Where are you located Jon?
Have you heard of mornington, it's about 20mins drive from frankston. There's a pier there. Fishing before sunrise helps IMO. Expect to find squid, salmon, flatheads and pinkies. Went there on Sunday and today and had A haul of flatheads. Mostly 35cm plus.

At mornington you can use lures. I mainly use hard bodies there for salmon. Haven't had much luck with sp;only caught 1 baby whiting and a flathead.
