Arrived at Frankston pier this afternoon @ 4pm. Unfortunately it was closed. I imagine something must have been broken as a result of the recent wild weather. Wonder what happened, does anybody have any idea..???
Nevertheless one had to have a go at fishing, and off I went to Seaford pier. Water was almost glassy calm. Casted with a sabiki rig and managed to land in all 3 bay trouts. Soon as a dolphin came swimming along together with a whole entourage of seagulls, the school of fishes disappeared. Everyone of us at the pier decided to pack up for home. Must say that for me it was a pleasant 2 hours of wonderful moments out in the open.
cheers.

Re: Frankston Pier closed
The end of the Frankston pier has fallen apart in the past too; due to bad weather. Good to hear you had some results at Seaford.

Re: Frankston Pier closed
Went and had a look and they surely have closed the pier, usually in the past all they did was put some tape up on the end when the planks went missing.
