Had a great day off Hasting yesterday morning, no target species caught, but more than happy with the bycatch. Caught this PB squid with a white sephia 3.0 jig using a Catana Egi/2500 sustain on 6kg mono without leader (right on slack tide) Had a crack at whiting, but the the salmon seemed to prefer the Reedys Rigz flashers baited with fresh squid, biggest just under 50cm and the Shimano Impact Nano XT nibble tip & 2500 Nasci did it with ease.

Cheers gents...I can see why people love catching them now. Unlike the smaller versions that feel like your dragging in weed, the big ones go for runs & peel line off
