Mornington pier 17-03-2016

Post by Stevieboy » Thu Mar 17, 2016 1:24 pm

My brother and friend went down this morning to Mornington pier. Brother is new to fishing and slept in so they didn't arrive till 8:30am. They both fished till 11:30am said they kept getting bites and lost a heap of bait. No fish caught/landed they said not much action though said for a Thursday morning the pier was quite busy but not much luck... That place is very hit and miss

go in the evening mate, plenty of pinkies around. pillies, squid or blue bait on small hooks will get you some action.

As sandef's post reads, from the 12/07.
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

hello this is a new note
Here we go again! The Mornington pier is taking a battering tonight (Picture: Keith Platt) just days after the last storm broke nine giant concrete panels, weighing 15 tonnes each, from the outer section, closing it to the public. Read more: http://mpn

Another harsh battering in such a short time. It isn't doing the pier any favours...
