Safety Beach 23/4

Post by tommyfishunter » Mon Apr 24, 2017 10:02 am

With our boat out of action myself and my brother dragged out the kayaks yesterday, just drifting about 100m off the beach managed 2 get 2 nice flatties 37cm and 47cm, dropped another couple trying to get them into the yak (no landing net). Including a 50+ model, which put up a great fight on 6lb line only for it to shake the hook as i was trying to grab it.
Both fish on plastics bait went untouched, fair few squid about could see them following my plastic, didn't have a jig unfortunately.
Temperature of the water still felt quite warm, hopefully stays that way for another few weeks, so we can have another crack.

Good work, enjoyable way to spend the day, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
