Ofocurse mate, got some pics and released, knew it wasn’t something you catch everyday so gave it the chance to create more little beauties! :thumbsup:

That's a great catch mate. I would've thought trout moving down into the brackish estuary of this system would be quite rare.

Following on from this post from East Gippsland Fishing Reports I have attached a picture of Brian Wray''s 8lb sea run (or at least a long term estuary fish) Brown Trout just caught in Lake Victoria in the Gippsland Lakes. A very silvery Brown in good condition.

That's actually better for the fish, fight times are shorter and you get a better release. Horsing the fish in on such heavy stuff isn't as fun though
