snapper smack Report Frankston mt eliza / seaford
Melbourne Snapper are on the Chew , Steve and my Self Launched from frankston boat ramp , the creek was good and was easy to get out from . the time was 4:45 and We head down to Mt eliza 17m Mark and decided to fish a spread of baits and rigs . When we started anchoring we Noticed a Seal , so i quickly pulled up the Anchor and drove out wide to lose the seal as i let him follow me. then spead off and left him for dead out wide , back to our spot.
After we Anchored for the second time We put out 8 rods 6 with Reedy's Snell rigs 2 with the new Ultra Rigs . It wasnt Long to we were hooked up Catching a Red Nice 5kg in Size . We had 3 more buckles , but no hook ups , before the spot went quite.
So we head down to Frankston in 16m and caught two snapper Straight away one on squid on the Ultra rig and the Other on Silver whitting .after 15 mins with out a touch we went to frankston 13 meters and i found a xmas tree and i thought we would bag out . but a crazy Seal turn up and i skull dragged one red and we lost another . after the first red had been caught i looked on the sounder and seen a seal dive down and spook the Xmas tree of snapper . the spot went quite , and we moved 15 mins Later ..
Off to seaford 10m and Who would think you could find two xmas tree with in 30 mins ........ Drop the Pick and it was game over >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> watch the video to see the real thing here https://youtu.be/Xgdml5ZJQiQ
Best bait were silver whiting were the stand out pick ( we ran out ) , then followed by pilchard and squid . We took 6 fish over 40 and one pinkie 38cm all the fish have been eaten and give to friends and family ..

Great video & report
Some nice fish too
Steve has the same hairstyle as me, needs to start wearing a cap, now it's warming up
(Yes, I don't like them either)
Cheers Gra
