mornington pier

went down Mornington yesterday a guys rod pulled into two pieces by a giant fish not sure what it was though. i hooked a big snapper got off though caught a few small snapper saw an old friend with a 1kg squid his line went screaming out whilst squidding fish was on for 5 seconds then gone. all up it was a good day

Sounds like an eventful time there at Mornington e.welch :super: .

I love Pier/Jetty fishing , , , , the things that happen and the characters that are there, is definitely worth the trip. Nice that you caught some small Snapper and sorry to hear about the one that got away, those BIG ones are hard to keep on the line.

Sounds like a fun day mate. The big snapper you hooked, how did you lose it?

it wasnt hooked properly it had grabbed the bait and ran then the bait fell out
