Hi all, I've always been into freshwater but house sitting in mornington over New Years ... GWanting to try out the pier or surrounds but unsure what to target or what is happening down there ... Read some reports a few weeks back that pier was closed.... Really appreciate any advice on what's happening and what to target

Piers open again lots of squids from reports and a few snapper as well.
I have a charter departing from their Thursday and hopefully to pick up a squid before hand for bait
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad
