Altona or Williamstown Squid

Post by melaco » Wed Nov 19, 2014 12:40 pm

Planning on launching out of Altona or maybe Willy this afternoon and want to chase some squid for fresh bait. Am I right in saying that the Altona squid grounds are around the cardinal beacon in front of Altona, and behind the footy ground for Williamstown? Never had any luck catching squid, so I'm pretty keen to get onto my first one!

^^ WHAT HE SAID,,ALSO try point cooke just outside marine park.
if water is calm you might be able to sight the squid when they are following your jig.
also if water is clear drop jig over side n.count how long it takes to reach bottom.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish, catch a fish
