I've known Rui for about 8 years and only ever fished with him land based!

His squid jigs are pretty much the only ones I buy these days.... just wish he made some shallow versions.

Will keep an eye out for the videos...
Jon.
I was picking some jigs up and he wanted some help on some boating electronics which i have on my boat. As well as some photography stuff. He asked me later on if i wanted to go fishing...

Just a sneak peek of one of the crazy triple hookup.
I sure do love how the sound of that dragon call braid sounds through the guides on the emeraldas rod.. you can hear it when rui grabs my rod and manhandles a follower

Heres what happened.

Videographer left rod in holder to grab the camera as he was doing that the rod goes off and i happened to have my retrive almost near the boat so i casted my rod out and grabbed the videographers rod and brought it in. As thats happening mine goes off. Just as rui is almost landing his one. So he grabs my rod and gets the squid in and there were more followers which we casted to again.

I can't seem to get the codes to work on the phone so uf one of the mods can fix it that would be great. Cheers

Was fine mate . Its rated to 2.0 - 3.5 sized jigs and i used a 3.5 with a 5gm weight and a size 3 with a 10gm weight on that outfit and it was fine.
Only issue i ever have with this rod is its too long in a boat i reckon and also because of that the tip gets line wrap on it quite consistently when doing aggressive retrieves..

Yes. But your boat will need to launch at stoney point.
But then again toy guys have queenscliff and surrounds which are great squid grounds as well.
Stoney point to flindera is about 20 mins boat drive at decent speed
