If I was using a running sinker I would use a burley cage or a burley pot lowered under the boat. But if using a float I would just throw the burley at the float around golf ball size using the old adage little often.

Not the greates night, caught a small herring and a wrasse, but my mate caught a bloody monster of a squid. I’ll upload a photo of it once I work out how to make the file size smaller
