I Have the blackwater 7" and love it. I prefer the smaller size for fishing shallow water close the pier and I can feel every touch from even small squid.

Not at all. A few people said the ML not the MH so I was wondering about the M as there were not comments about it and its a decent price.

I hear ya and I am seriously looking at it and trying to find a good price.

Another forum is recommending the Major Craft Crostage at a similar price to the emeraldas with several people praising them highly. I wish they were all readily available with a try before you buy. I also wish I had more experience to be able to tell just by looking at it or feeling it.
