Got me beet why they have any more than a 1/4" capacity on a reel these days below a 5000 size reel ...... Actuly an 1/8" would properly work better ......

I've caught some serious fish with my 2500 caldia. Luckily I have about 250m of braid. I've been down to the backing a few times.

I just put mono backing on my smaller reels if i don't want to completely load them up with braid. easy fix.

Both my cousins have the same reel. For the price they are great..
