Sorrento Pier

Post by Fredfillis » Sat Feb 07, 2015 4:25 pm

First try at Sorrento Pier this morning. Was not good with the strong northerly. Gave up after 1.5 hours. Nothing happening there.

I've seen Sorrento back beach mentioned here a few times so took a ride over there. Over by the SLSC club seemed like a likely spot but half of Melbourne was down there. Had about 30 mins before the daughter was feeling crook so had to wrap up. Had only one minor expression of interest but would probably give it another go (with a bit of planning next time).

There are some great spots at sorrento back beach. Be careful on the rocks.

Portsea back beach, about halfway between the LSC and london bridge has a big hole between two bits of reef that fishes very well at high tide for salmon.
