Tootgarook 7th October 17

Post by brucey1 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:11 am

Launched from Tootgarook boat ramp. Delayed by 2 hours due to getting 4wd bogged in sand on ramp. Capel Sound Foreshore committee are a disgrace. Ramp is still closed and snapper season has started. Ramp season used to start in September. Caught two small squid and tried for whitting with no luck only 2 red mullet. Good to get bout out since last trip in Easter.

Rye boat ramp. We had to retrieve from there so a bit of mucking around with extra driving in and out etc...

That's a lot of sand on the ramp, lucky the tide wasn't coming in

The only semi decent ramps are Sorrento, Martha Cove and Mornington. Rye is average, fisheries beach and safety beach are crap if there's a tiny bit of wind. And the rest? Foreshore committees that only care for the tourist $$ explains everything
