It's a great area to fish when the weather is good. There are heaps of shallow water around Rye with weed beds perfect for squid and whiting. The south channel fort where the seals hang out on always produces.

With the squid you shouldn't have a problem, the whiting on the other hand.. might be a bit harder to find. Lets us know how you go anyway.

What should I be targeting other than squid do you think?
If its your first time in the area though maybe just go for some squid and have a snoop around for next time once the water warms up.
