Have been getting to know my new SW4200 around Black Rock/Beaumaris over the past couple of weeks - lots of pinkies, quite a a few plate size, but haven't found the Salmon yet ...

That's good to hear mate.
These boats are perfect for that sort of fishing. I've caught plenty of salmon down blackrock way too mate. Just got to find the damn fish. They were busting up near the pier last week at blackrock. So they are around the area.
Pan sized pinkies mmmm that's great another good light gear lure option...

Have they fixed the ramp there . Last time I was there I couldn't launch cause it was too shallow..

I've become a member at Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron Steve, so have been launching from there - sorry I can't advise re Black Rock ramp.

How low was it?
I use to launch the old Quintrex into 0.4 of a my and if you stick close to the jetty put the motor down and slowly drive out to fish
