Salmon on the go

Post by re-tyred » Fri Mar 31, 2017 12:17 pm

Been a few Salmon around the entrance channel lately. Gave it a go from my boat this morning. One every cast on slack water. :water:
Two for dinner the rest will be bait for next offshore trip

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

I saw a fish under the boat, was just cruising slowly past. Would have been twice the size of the biggest Salmon I caught. But! it had a red colour on it's fins. Can't figure out if it was a very big salmon or something else. Thru a lure at it and it took a look and cruised off.

Added another 10 yesterday. It was a bit lumpy at the end of the rock walls in the entrance. Plenty of salmon there, pretty much a hook up every cast on slack water.
