Lake Tyers Flathead

Post by brybry » Fri Nov 03, 2017 3:42 pm

Decent flathead from recent Lake Tyers trip.

Hard work, with a lot of casts between fish. Still, between the two of us, managed quite a few rat flathead in the 40-45 range as well as a couple of bream, a decent Luderick and some nice pinkies caught both by my mate.

Yeah Purple been on FV for a while, just keep a low profile.

Dazz, that flatty was caught on a black and orange blade meant for bream. Frank at Lakes Fishing and Fuel has these generic cheap blades, which have caught me more fish than the big name brands so I tend to stick with them.

My mate was getting a few on a reddish (root beer?) 4” paddle tail shad....possibly a Zman.
