Arvo run off lakes Monday-18th
With the weather prime and high tide just on dark thought why not. Headed out for a arvo run down the pipe line. The plan was to hook a snapper. Got down there around 5.30 and sounded around and around. Struggled finding anything worth throwing a bait at. Anyways had a crack burleyed hard but nothing apart from a few flatties and heaps of gurned. Changed plans with about 45 mins of light left and headed in for a gummy. Bait in the water and got the burly going. Didn't take long and bang, bang, bang. 3 gummies 2 smallish and 1 nice size maybe 4.5ft. Couple more flatties. Than a banjo decided to tangle us up just on dark so thought let's head. Boat back on the trailer by 10.30 and home to bed. Not to bad after a very slow start. No photos as my phone was dead.

Good feed can't beat gummies and flatties
Pipeline has been poor during the no moon the last two months. Try it first week of January, should be a different story.
we managed 12 snapper and 7 large blue jackets on Tuesday. We were 36mtrs 7mile south of Lakes. 6 people fishing

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Yes I go out on a couple of them , plus my own tinny when the weather is good. Also do the Hydrographic surveys of the bar and channels on a casual basis for Gippsland Ports.
