Getting to Grips With The Snowy River

After moving to Orbost just before Xmas' settling in and renovating has kept me away from the water for the last five or six weeks.
I've managed to get out for a few evening sessions in the last few days and have been having a ball. I don't have to travel far, just ten minutes from my back door and I'm by the riverside.
The river is full of bream at the moment and there's quite a few EP's about too. So far, most of the bream are in the 20 to 25 cm size with the odd bigger model about. It gets exciting, when after a run of small bream a big boy decides to play. (Haven't landed one yet. They know where the snags are! )
Last night was a good little session. Half a dozen or so bream, some good mullet and I got well and truly dusted by a big EP who didn't want to leave his home under the trees. He took a liking to a small hard body lure wobbling across the surface.
Life's good.
