If you go down end of Hourigan camp lane at Yanankie and follow the track at the end to shallow inlet You can walk out to the channel at low tide. Got some good Trevs there. itried beach fishing corner inlet side of yanakie, but it was shallow and full of monster banjos.

I’ve caught Gummies & flatties off Duck point LB. you can also use plastics for flatties in front of the caravan park. On the LHS of the boat ramp if you’re facing Wilson’s are heaps of weed bed which are great for Whiting.
Great place to fish

Didn't do as well as I hoped -- my first land-based flattie (seriously), a kayak-based flattie, a lovely toadfish, and a respectable banjo. Had a lot of critters -- tiny gars, whiting, whatsits and finny things -- following soft plastics, but no takers. Still getting my head around SPs. Went down to Tidal, too, and threw hard bodies ... and was outfished by a very excited five-year-old girl. Good effort on her part, given there were a million people throwing around shotput-sized sinkers tied to line that looked like it'd been yanked from the tops of telegraph poles.

Thanks for the recommendation. I admit to not having invested as much time in soft plastics as, say, squid. And the results show.
