I will be going Sunday to the position off Metung. The reef there is not very high just little bumps in 36-38mtrs, but you should see bait fish hanging above it. Fish were caught today off Metung
The South corner position you will see a jump from 36mtr to 30mtr on the highest part of it.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Nice mate. That’s one place I plan to go with the missus. Last time we only had time to drive through there on the way back.Kimtown wrote:Just until Monday. Away with a few couples, but of course I'll be getting my fishing fix in each day hahaLightningx wrote:Didn’t know you’re in lakes now mate.

Re: offshore Lakes Entrance for Easter
Headed out this morning with a mate. Launched at 5.15. He was pretty keen on a gummy so headed west and sent the pick down where I normally get a fair few. Nothing much happening till it was just light. Ended getting every single undesirable under the sun. Got plauged by tiny coota!! A half decent 7 giller and couple of flatties. Gave it till after high tide and pulled the pin on that idea with nothing going. Moved out deeper to find a few flatties. Ended up with a very decent feed of flatties for the 2 of us. Not the gummy we were after but still tasty. Had a sound around on the reef on the way home. Marked a fair few pinkies so maybe we should of tried there. But I’ll take flatty over snapper.

Better luck with the gummy next time mate but can’t complain with a decent bag of flatties
