Like, is the pier paid to be a pier for a living..? or is it just a pier for fun in its spare time.
Pretty simple question I thought.

As far as I’m aware it is public. Not sure what pro boats work out of Welshpool now days, but the part that we used to unload boats from, isn’t being rebuild, it’s being removed. That’s not to say it won’t be used, but I don’t think it is going to be locked up, if that is what you were questioning.smile0784 wrote::victory:Is it for sight seeing people to walk on and fish from or for professional boats to tie uptoBrett wrote:smile0784 wrote:Is it a professional peir or a recreational peir?

Re: Long Jetty- Port Welshpool
don't get too excited, at present the Shire council was drawing up plans for a marina there.
Now they're re-thinking the site as many local's are saying wrong place for marina.
The professionals use their own wharf east end of Port Welshpool, near the old ferry terminal.
I can still remember fishing there of a night, its a great spot.
But like any great spot the Government will come along & stuff it up.
Most of corner Inlet now comes under one or more Aboriginal Waters commissions, look to the Northern territory to see what they claim as theirs anything that's not nailed down, and for their use only except if you buy a permit to fish from them.
