Great reports mate. I'm excited. Actually heading down to stay at metung this weekend for a few nights. Have never fished there before. Any advice for LB options close by and may hire a boat for a day so any tips appreciated. I've heard of an artificial reef off metung but not sure where. Cheers

Artificial reef is just off the board walk, casting distance. North end of mariner, walk up 50mtrs and cast out.
Water is still cold but have heard of a few fish being caught there this week. Best fishing is rumoured to be in the Tambo and Mitchell rivers.
Not very far to drive from Metung to the Tambo. Best bet is to look for others fishing. Fish were right up other side of swan reach but snow melt is now putting a bit of fresh water down the system so they may be closer to the mouth of the rivers now.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Good work mate. Nice to see a few fish coming in. Have you been up towards the bluff lately? Was doing alright up that way late winter last year. I’m counting down till weekend before the cup. That’s when it’s on!

No haven't been to the bluff, was thinking about it. Might give it a go next week if we get a nice day. Pettmans would be worth a fish this week on the moon.
So many places so little time :fish22: :water:
