Who forgot the aeroguard

Post by Wolly Bugger » Thu Feb 28, 2019 8:13 pm

Well out in the boat and as the sunsets out comes the squadron of mozzies and no aeroguard. As we are stayingovernight I thought it best to get some aerogaurd.

The only problem is as the sun goes down so do the blinds in the shops.

Almost made it back to Melbourne before I found a place that was open.

Now sitting back cooking tea mozzie free.

We caught two large banjos and a express train that wound up biting us off and 3 decent size flathead. As dawn broke we headed towards the Islands

Oh wow, look at the sounder. How many did you get on that trip?
Nice.

I have never caught a kingie, still on the bucket list. Almost impossible to catch them landbased or yak. I'm a noob yak fisho too.

We got two. Both on squid.

What I did is about 2 days before going, I headed out in Port Phillip with the plans to catch a few squid. Well only managed 2 about the size of my hand.

Two hook rig, with the top hook through the top of the squid and the bottom where the eyes are. I added a trolling sinker which was enough to get them below the surface.

I trolled a garfish but no luck.

I should add that the ford did not like the heat towing the boat, fortunately, we managed to avoid boiling it.
