Salmon at Lakes Entrance.

Post by re-tyred » Fri Apr 19, 2019 2:30 pm

Took my granddaughter out for a fish. I drove the boat and she fished. Trolled around the entrance. There was a massive patch of large salmon on the western side. Three fish on board in 20 minutes. Lost a few hook ups. Three was enough so left the patch for others. She is a champ. Fought them and landed them. Biggest about 2kg

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Took my granddaughter out for a fish on the charter boat. She is becoming quite the fisher. Fishing in 45 mtr so no easy task pulling 40+ cm pinkies up. For her two week stay, she had 3 salmon, 5 pinkies, 3 flathead, plus a bunch of other non eating fish. 2 trips offshore no seasickness. Taught her the basics of driving the boat and how to get back home, plus how to use an epirb. Told her she has to take me fishing when I get old. :water:
