Glad You managed to land some good Flatties.
I hate going home empty handed (fortunately doesn’t happen often).
Why didn’t you keep the Gummy, was it a female?
Cheers.

It now being winter, what do you wear while on the ski ???
For that matter, what do yakka's wear this time of year ??
Wolly metioned in a tread that not many people would be prepared for going overboard into very cold water.
I believe that jet skiers and yakka's would be (those with a brain anyway)
Another just wondering
Gra
We had wet suits on with clothes over the top but it was honestly over the top. We didn't even get wet. You're right if you go over you will be very cold

We got it early in the day and was too big to keep on the ski/esky so it was regretfully released. Had it been late in the day it would have been coming home and been on the plate by now.

Cut in half/thirds? Surely if you could piece together the carcass for an accurate identification/measure then fisheries wouldn't have an issue.

How often have fisheries inspected your catch. Spoken to them numerous times never inspected.

Literally got inspected that day at the ramp. She was pretty nice though. Probably would have allowed a cut up gummy in pieces but you never know who you're going to get

Only a couple of times over many years.

Someone should enquire about cutting a carcass up for ease of storage.

I'm pretty sure it's against the law but it shouldn't be.

Great report. Welshpool is my favourite place to fish and I have had a number of fun trips with quality gummies and flathead. Some of the local guys like Scoot H have been really generous with their local tips.
