Fishing Paynesville with plastics

Post by Bit Risky » Sat Jul 27, 2019 2:08 pm

Having only ever fished for bream on bait I decided it was time to give the soft plastics a go. Following some online research and a trip to BCF I was ready to go. Water has been very clear in the lakes for quite a while and plenty of fish are visible around the jetties. Landed half a dozen fish in a short session and lost a few. Some big schools swimming through the canals at present. I would have a say this soft plastic fishing has me hooked. All fish released.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum,
These techniques with this lure work exceptionally well around Paynesville around the boat hulls and pontoons.

Great stuff mate, once you get a first few on plastics/lures your confidence increases 10 fold.. keep at it and very soon you will not be using bait at all.
cheers

Thanks IFISHALOT for the heads up on the micro vibes. Picked up a bream in the first few casts, just need to work out the best retreive method for them. Cheers
