Squid must have been going off with 10 in a hour, Shame about the ute tho glad ive not made that type of mistake yet and i bet i will someday.
Always one of them things I use to laugh to myself at others doing and thought no way that could happen to myself, but here we are :rf: sweet, sweet karma

Unfortunately not even close to the dumbest thing I've done in my life and probably won't be the last either haha
Dont feel to bad we all do silly stuff, some of it has been showen here on the forums with people dumping fuel into their rod holders in the 'stuff that happens while fishing thread' i remeber you posted about it with 100 liters of fuel.

Should get one of those mis fueling things they sell where it locks the diffrent nozzles out.
Haha yeah that's right. It wasn't actually me who did that though so I didn't feel dumb, I was just angry my boat smelled like petrol fumes for 6 months :te:

Probably not a bad idea. I'd hope that was a valuable lesson and I won't do it again but you just don't know... the brain works in mysterious ways sometimes lol

20km/h, so it just got out of the water and on the plane

I can't believe how perfectly clean my squid came out. All I did was take the heads out and cut a tiny notch on the tip of the hood. Didn't de-flap/skin or pull any of the guts out... the tumbler literally did it all for me in 15-20mins! All I had to do when I got home was cut it into squid rings, chuck it in the tendaco mix and then the pan!

I'll never go squidding again with out it

Just play around with it.

I think 1 or 2 of the smaller squid might have slipped through the holes though. Seems like definitely more went in than came back out at the end

Decided to take an RDO today and take the ski to go get a few quick squid but i'm still undecided whether that was a good idea or not...

Launched the FishPro at Port Welshpool ramp at 9.30 and on the squid grounds by 9.35am after a cruisey 85km/h voyage. Had 10 squid up to 30cm hood in the boat by 10.30am and decided to call it a day as the wind was getting up and all I wanted was a quick feed.

Anyway, on the way back home i needed to stop in at mirboo north to fuel up the car to get back home. Slapped 30 bucks in only to eventually realize I've just put 95 in a diesel ute... a few choice words were made that I've been warned by snapperhead not to repeat on here... luckily I was (somewhat) clever enough to realize BEFORE I turned the engine over and wrecked it completely.. unfortunately my ute doesn't have a sump on the fuel tank, so we had to push it to a nearby mechanics where it's currently having the tank removed and drain while I'm sitting in the mirboo north brewery playing pool :rf:

Depending on the damage aka bill, will depend on whether the squid were worth it or not

Moral of the story? Don't go fishing after a big grand final weekend. You WILL do something dumb

One thing positive though. The squid cleaner I bought? Absolutely 👌 perfectly cleaned squid in 10 mins
At least you realised before you got in

10 squid in an hour is great..
Shame about the ute, hopefully it's fixed with minimal cost..
$127 and 2 hours wait in the pub (with a $50 win on the TAB)

Could be a lot worse :gj:
Could been lost worse

At least you didn't rock up to the prom on a day it was closed... or forget your reels and not realise until you were on a ledge!

How's the new jetty there for bread and butter work?
